Combining more than 20 years of metal sculpting with a love for artistic expression, Bruce Acosta has created dozens of his trademark motorcycle sculptures. Bruce also creates metal sculptures of garden art, Victorian iron doll beds, human figures, animals, still life, abstracts, and trophies, but motorcycles are his passion. Bruce is also noted for creating and designing the 2001 World Cup Biathlon Award Trophy which is now located and displayed in the Biathlon Hall in Ruhpolding, Germany. Bruce’s motorcycle sculptures have been featured in local area news articles and he has participated in numerous local art showings along with other noted artists. Each motorcycle sculpture is conceived with a spark of imagination and realized by the flame of the welder’s torch. Finishing touches such as springs, handlebars, mirrors, license plates, textured seats, detailed engine parts, gears, exhaust pipes, mufflers and saddlebags give personality to each motorcycle. Many of the sculptures have moving parts, such as wheels, kickstands and handlebars. Each motorcycle sculpture also is perfectly balanced and stands freely without the need for a prop or kickstand. Each motorcycle is signed, numbered and uniquely inspired by Bruce’s artistic vision or by a customer’s special request. All of Bruce’s motorcycle sculptures are one of-a-kind originals. Each sculpture is individually handmade using his welding expertise to develop each part; and hand finished lending multiple shades of the steel and personal touches of textures and polish. Each has tremendous detailing, and personal realistic touches defined by Bruce’s artistic ability. There is no painting involved. The metals used give off different sheens. A protective coating is used to finish off the sculpture and will provide lasting beauty for years to come. These sculptures can be easily displayed on a desk, bookshelf or stand in a special place in your home or office rendering a life like favorite motorcycle |
